Act V:

Scene 1
· O & A and army are on plains of Philippi
· Cassius' army is ready for battle
· O's nose is a little of joint b/c Antony told him to take the left flank but O. demands the right side (right side b/c the braver & courageous men are on the right)
· O, B, C, & A meet in the middle of the field and argue about Caesar & start trading insults and finally O & A exit
· Cassius and Messala talk in private (Lucilius and Brutus are talking also). The Day of the battle is Cassius' birthday and he is afraid that they are going to lose b/c when they were marching from Sardis a couple of eagles came & perched on their banners (good omen) but the next day a swarm of crows, ravens, & rites (who live off dead carcasses) circled around Cassius' army (like they were waiting for them to die like in battle)
· Brutus believes that the gods will help them and he will never go back to Rome bound in chains and Brutus and Cassius say goodbye to each other

Scene 2
· Brutus has orders & gives them to Messala to take to Cassius b/c he thinks he sees a weak spot in Octavius' line and is going to attack and for them to stand by

Scene 3
· Cassius & Titinius are talking about that some of their army was retreating (C. killed the flag bearer b/c he was retreating)
· Titinius is upset b/c Brutus left to early to attack Octavius and left Cassius' line is left wide open for Antony to attack them
· Pindarus runs up and tells Cassius that Antony has overrun their (Cassius is on a hill looking over field) and Antony is looking for Cassius
· Titinius is ordered by Cassius to go as close to their camp to see if Antony is down there or Brutus
· Cassius believes he is going to die on his birthday
· Pindarus shouts to Cassius that he Titinius was taken prisoner and all the people around him are shouting for joy
· Cassius orders Pindarus that he is free but he has to stab him with the sword that they killed Caesar with b/c he believes that it his fault for Titinius being captured so Pindarus stabs him and he dies
· Pindarus runs away
· Titinius and Messala reenter & are shouting for joy b/c Brutus has Octavius' army on the run and they are all happy (Pindarus made a huge mistake)! So, it was Brutus' army who was down there and not Antony's and they were happy to see Titinius. They find Cassius and they are very upset and Messala goes to tell Brutus the news, while Titinius looks for Pindarus. Titinius is so upset that he kills himself (before he kills himself he puts a crown on Cassius & lies dead next to Cassius on battlefield)
· Brutus curses Caesar's ghost and is very upset and they are going to try really hard to beat A & O!

Scene 4
· Last attempt for Brutus' and army to beat A & O and they have nothing to lose, young Cato (Portia's brother) is stabbed
· Lucilius pretends to be Brutus and is captured by A. & O. army and tells them to kill him now (to enable Brutus to get away) but Antony tells army not to kill anyone but take them as a prisoner, and they take care of Lucilius cause Antony rather have him as a friend than an enemy

Scene 5
· Brutus, Dardanius, Clitus, Strato, and Volumnius are all tired from battle & Brutus asks one of them to kill him and he is crying and tells them that he has seen Caesar's ghost twice and he must die (it is his hour) and they don't want to kill him and Clitus tells Brutus to runaway. 
· Brutus tells C, D, and V to runaway and he will follow but tells Strato to hold sword and he will run upon it and he dies
· Strato said that no one can have the honor to kill Brutus or take him alive (Strato now works for Octavius)
· Antony said Brutus was the noblest Roman
