· Publius- Antony's nephew and is on the hit list
· Antony thinks that Lepidus is a guy who should just run errands and should not be one of the 3 rulers (compares him to his horse)
-Lepidus will do all the work until Antony and Octavius do not need him anymore
-Antony says that Lepidus is not a leader and cannot think for himself
· Antony wants to have a war counsel to find out about Brutus and Cassius' secrets & figure out strategies to fight against the conspirators

Scene 2 (Brutus' camp)
· Pindarius- Cassius' servant
· Brutus is not happy w/ Cassius!

Scene 3 (Brutus' tent)
· Cassius' problem: holds up a letter that he wrote to Brutus to get Lucius Pella off his case b/c he took bribery
-Brutus says that Cassius has been accused of having an itchy palm- taking bribery for money
-Cassius says that thank God your Brutus or he would of kill him right there and then
· Brutus says that they are going to become corrupt like the corruption they did when they killed Caesar
· Cassius gets mad and says don't tempt me (like he was going to kill him) and Brutus tells him to go away little man and he laughs at him

· Brutus heard that Cassius only killed Caesar for his own good (WHICH IS TRUE)

· Cassius starts pouting and is having self pity and tells Brutus he should be a friend and put up w/ his faults (blames it on his mother!)

· O. & A. killed Cicero and 70 other senators
· Messala talks about Portia and Brutus he only has to go through her death once
· Cassius thinks that it is better for their army not to go meet Antony's army near Philippi and that they should be defensive and for A & O to come to them but Brutus disagrees: Brutus had to force the people of Sardis to pay for the army since Cassius did not send him any money, so if they stay Antony will go through Sardis and gain followers
· Brutus and Cassius are going to fight O & L's army @ Philippi on a plain (OFFENSIVE)
· They are leaving @ 1st light (tomorrow morning) and Cassius goes to bed and the feelings between Cassius and Brutus are well again
· Brutus has his servant to sleep in his tent just in case he needs for them to send a message to Cassius (Varro, Claudius, and Lucius) Servants fall asleep
· A taper begins to flicker, & Brutus starts seeing things, and find out that the ghost of Caesar is visiting him and the ghost says he shall see Brutus @ Philippi
· Brutus tells Varro & Claudius to go and tell Cassius to move the troops sooner a& quicker to Philippi b/c of his vision of Caesar

Wow that is a lot of notes! That is all of the notes from act I II and III. I suggest that for studying the test look at your vocab and quotes sheet he gave you, (of course!) for short answer look at old quizzes, look at the notes above, and for the essay I suggest reviewing POWER and how a crowd of people can change their minds…. Enjoy!
